I love Vancouver – the incredible views, the sweet smells, the ocean, the mountains – there were so many moments where I would look up from whatever I was doing and think to myself “wow, I get to live here”.
This place has definitely grown on me, but saying goodbye to friends and family over these past few weeks has made me realize that it’s the people I have met and/or gotten to know out here that I will miss the most. It’s tough saying goodbye, and I know that even if I do come back one day, whether to visit or to live, this chapter of my life has come to an end and things will never be the same. That makes me a little sad, but I am so thankful for the time I have spent here – it was an amazing experience!
It’s time for me to go home so that I can get back on my feet and pursue what I came out here to do in the first place.
Goodbye Vancouver, I will miss you!
Here’s one of my favourite photos that I took while I was at Vanarts! We had a black and white long exposure class, and this was my final assignment for it – it’s a little old church located just outside of Fort Langley. I was told it’s photographed a lot by students at Trinity Western University, but I just couldn’t resist getting my own shot of it!
